Holiday cheer? Holiday awesomness? The more creative-digital-holiday-christmas card I have ever witnessed?
All of the above. Congratulations to Marcus Thomas!
I became acquainted with Marcus Thomas after speaking at their offices in 2009-2010. I loved the company the first time I stepped foot into their offices and I have loved them ever since. Enough about that, let’s talk about this digital holiday awesomeness!
Here’s what happened.
1. I received a tweet from @AllisonPeltz:
I clicked through on the link. What is this MTHolidaycard you speak of and how can I win a prize?? I had to find out and gave them my email. Later, I received an email about joining the fun!
I made sure that I was online at the given time and clicked the “take a spin” button.
Amazing! Spin the wheel of holiday destiny! Once you clicked “take a spin” it asked for your name, email, and twitter account. The video feed was live using UStream and the host said my name, “Kyle are you ready for a spin?” I said yes… and then was instantly embarrassed. The host launched the wheel and I landed on a $100 donation to a local charity. Awesome time and an awesome gift. I received this email right after the spin.
Of course… I replied with a strong – DONATE IT!
A standing ovation to Marcus Thomas. What an excellent way to show the capabilities of the firm while building holiday fun and cheer. I love it.

What a great idea – the "I'm interested in amusing you" rather than "I'm in this for my own promotional spam." Remarkable – to steal Seth Godin's word (to remark upon). Great stuff – thanks!
