I’m a firm believer that change is fundamental in the development of a person. Extreme change helps develop experiences that shape careers and life. With that said, I decided that 2012 was the year for change.

It is time to shake things up in my life. Extremely shake things up.

As of today, I will be starting my new job with ExactTarget, where I will be working with Jeff Rohrs and Joel Book, who are thought-leaders in the world of email and interactive marketing. As a Principal of Marketing Research and Education, I will be focusing on the development of educational and inspirational interactive marketing content for ExactTarget clients, partners, prospects, and employees through print media, online media, and events.

Before I talk about this amazing new opportunity, I wanted to reflect on my time as an entrepreneur and business owner. When one of my best friends, Brandon Coon, called in the summer of 2006 to talk about starting a marketing firm… I was ecstatic.  Brandswag was created and we traveled down the road of being very young business owners, learning from mistakes, and celebrating successes.

I’ve had an amazing 5 years working alongside the best and brightest in Indianapolis. People who have had enough faith to support me through the years have surrounded me and I’m grateful for that.

Now, back to the change in my life. As I mentioned, I am joining an extremely influential company in the world of interactive marketing. ExactTarget serves the world’s top brands in building successful  email, mobile, and social media marketing strategies.

If you are curious to find out more about the company and people I will be working with, feel free to check out their Twitter pages.
