My take-away here is that the buy-in of employees is as important or more important than the buy-in of the executive suite. As with any important business undertaking, employee buy-in is required to execute the business plan. The best example I know of in this arena would be http://twitter.com/kellyrfeller - Social Media Strategist for Intel.

Posting a comment last night to the Brand Republic story on "The 100 most mentioned brands on Twitter, @kellyrfeller said: "At Intel, we encourage all employees who want to engage in social media on the company's behalf to do so and to be authentic (as in use their own names). We have over 150 Twitter accounts. If you added up all the followers of those accounts, the number would be much higher than the 464 who follow the @Intel account."

Thanks for Reading,

"One thing we have found with working on social media campaigns for clients is that the CLIENT has to believe in the process in order for it to work." ~ Golf clap for this one Kyle. If you don't have company buy in the plan will never work and both parties will leave the table unhappy.
