This is a thought-provoking post and I&#039;m wondering if you can point to any examples of companies doing great social media campaigns along these lines? I can be a little jaded and so when I read stuff about creating thrills and the like in marketing, I tend to substitute the word &#039;hype&#039; for &#039;thrill.&#039; I know from reading your blog that you are big on treating people like humans first, buyers second -  so I&#039;m wondering what your thoughts are on how companies can balance the desire to create a &#039;thrill&#039; with social media, and still be authentic - which is necessary for long term social media success.  </description>
