Meh.

I liked it better when it was called Google Reader. Or My Yahoo. Or Newsgator. Or Newsfire. Or Bloglines. Or Feedbucket.

Sticking a bunch of social media blog feeds into a Javascript RSS reader does not a "social media dashboard" make.

I suppose I could do the same thing with humor columns, and have the world's first humor column dashboard.

Double meh.

So true Kyle. With the API's that are built into most social networks these days it is relatively easy for developers to build applications. The problem is that everything is pretty stagnant right now. What do you think are the most cutting edge services out there now?

Perhaps looking at it a different way, you could say that a downgrade is not a bad thing.

Plenty of companies bring joy and happiness by taking what is old and making it their own.

I understand what you are saying Kyle, and agree with the sentiment. There is so much potential to do new things. To experiment. To innovate.

Plus, really agree that we should be creating tools that can help people with the problem of management and understanding.

I've only got a bare knowledge of Social Media. What kind of stuff (creating for the masses) are you thinking of?
