Hey Kyle great read! I agree businesses should be selling directly from their Facebook Pages. Do you know if Paypal Buy Now Buttons for selling items on a Faceobook Page are allowed by Facebook? Selling things via Facebook Pages has always been a grey area for me based on their Terms of Service. I would hate to risk my Facebook account over this, but it is such a useful tool for businesses. I have only found one person using buy now buttons, what is your take on this? Thanks! - Tony

Hi Kyle,

I couldn't agree more. When I saw the 1-800 Flowers example earlier last year I saw an immediate opportunity on creating a Facebook App that helps smaller eCommerce businesses who could not afford custom Facebook development to leverage a Facebook App to create the shop tab. I think social shopping is going to be huge, especially with all the recent Facebook OpenGraph API changes. Just wanted to say thanks for the blog post and just shared it with many of our Facebook users. If you have not heard of our Facebook App check us out at http://www.shoptab.net or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/ShopTabApp

You have suggested very exact reason why retailers must add ecommerce to facebook. Thanks for imparting such useful information.
