Kyle - why Wordpress? You mentioned that at the AU event today, and I forgot to ask what it is about Wordpress that leads you (and others I have seen recently) to recommend that as the platform of choice for blogging?

Great blog! We have done much of these suggestion over the past year and they have made a tremendous difference. If you're not on LinkedIn I would strongly suggest you to create an account and send me a link.

Kyle,
The flip phone idea is great..
Anthony Edwards (of ER fame) is using these small video cameras as a tool to show the realities of living in the slums of Africa.
He told us at BlogWorld that they go into the slums and give the cameras to people who do their own recording for a day. Then they post up a collage of the videos that they receive, to demonstrate the need for assistance.
Imagine if we offered our customers a flip phone on loan, to demonstrate their actual experience while they used our product.
It could be powerful messaging and testimonial branding for our companies.

Good post with some good fresh ideas. I like the walk around with the flip cam and the referral program both are very unique.

Of course I love the tweetup idea, in Boston I run http://twitter.com/BostonTweetup

Have you ever head of SpeakerRate http://speakerrate.com ? A fellow Bostonian, Mitcho http://twitter.com/mitchoyoshitaka, introduced it to me and since your a speaker it would be a great way to not only get feedback on your talks but also endorsements and testimonials.
